J.C.5 Stars Out Of 5June 28, 2010J.C.Amazingly outstanding. The content is so rich, it's even hard to compare. A treasure on the bookshelf. Especially when you have already been "on the run" for many years, and you are unhappy with your life, feel dry and somehow gridlocked in life by teachings that gave you an understanding of some bible verses, that now punish your life almost constantly, with the feeling that God is saying these things to you, but bringing forth not any good fruit but pressure and stress, which in secret want to keep you from breaking free from guilt and sin. You need a fresh perspective on these things, pure life again. And if there are today "mature", modern books on the life with God, this is definitely one, that is not the next dead end street, but helps you truly walking with God in peace, life, joy and awe, not the next Sunday one day hype, but a wholesome, holistic way to living in Jesus' life and finding true freedom, which so often seems to be the opposite, if we were honest what the teachings and preachings of so many make us feel like, because they don't know it better and in secret teach how to live in their own bondages or carnality. Not that anyone would call it that way, but everyone guides with his teaching to his own "place". But who is perfect anyway, but we can learn to see through and find what is truly mature and God's life.
Cassie Hale5 Stars Out Of 5July 30, 2007Cassie HaleAll the resources from Renovare are exceptional, this one included. This is simply a collection of writings from Christians from the time of Christ on. This is a wonderful book to read in which we can learn by example from others who fully relied on Christ.
