Diane5 Stars Out Of 5It works!November 3, 2011DianeQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I have 4 boys - my 4th does not like math (he's a young 11). Watching his brothers breeze through math was giving him the attitude that he 'just isn't good at math'.
The first day he multiplied 93x95 with a smile on his face!
I had been struggling for over a year to get him comfortable with numbers - trying to walk the line of you have to do this/don't push so hard he shuts down.
So far this book is better than I expected. My math struggler does not well up with tears when we pull out his math book:-)
I can't wait to get to fractions.
(side-note: a basic understanding of multiplication/division is needed.)
