Her teacher recommended this book to us to help her with some issues she's having with reading. Each lesson is short, so my daughter does one lesson every night with her homework. The workbook does cover a wide variety of reading issues: reading for context, reading retention, growth of reading skills, etc. I do sit with her when she works on it in case she has questions. I also removed the answers from the back! A good workbook!
Jennifer5 Stars Out Of 5May 3, 2009JenniferMy daughter loves this book! It contains a good assortment of short (1pg)fiction and non-fiction stories in a variety of interesting genres. I especially like the focus on comprehension and vocabulary through the follow-up questions.
