Carol YoungmanMartinez, CAAge: Over 65Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5February 29, 2008Carol YoungmanMartinez, CAAge: Over 65Gender: femaleI bought the books for my grandsons, ages 8 and 10, to keep them entertained on a long train trip. It did just that. Each chapter ended with questions and what a wonderful opportunity to discuss maturing as young men of strength, virtue and morals. When we reached our destination some young men there were using some vulgar language and, praise God, my grandsons were able to put the "stong" guys of the Bible into action by refraining and walking away from the situation. I strongly recommend.
Cathy Law4 Stars Out Of 5December 4, 2007Cathy LawI think the message is great. The Graphics & Illustrations don't appeal to my 6 year old son particularly. It would be more interesting for him if they were on every page as well... Maybe it's for older children. I think the message is superb! Thanks!
Edna5 Stars Out Of 5October 5, 2007EdnaMy eight year old loved this book and could'nt put it down. He was so thrilled and expressed a true connection with the biblical characters as never before. He has moved on to the rest of the series.
Nancy G5 Stars Out Of 5January 26, 2006Nancy GMy 10 year old son loved this and has voluntarily read it 5-6 times! I struggle with getting him to read chapter books, and he can't put this or the "Wars & Weapons" by same author down. It has interesting illustrations, is informative, and easy to read.
