Relationships are fragile. And whether fractured by a major incident or a minor irritation, the ensuing emotions can often feel insurmountable preventing the relationship from moving forward or the offended from moving on. In order to make things right, something more than "sorry" is needed. #1 New York Times bestselling author Gary Chapman and Jennifer Thomas have teamed up to deliver this groundbreaking study of how we give and receive apologies. It's not just a matter of will, but it's a matter of how you say, "I'm sorry" that ultimately makes things right with those you love. This book will help you discover why certain apologies clear the path for emotional healing, reconciliation, and freedom, while others fall desperately short.
JENNIFER M. THOMAS, Ph.D., is a graduate of the University of Virginia and psychologist with Associates in Christian Counseling in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Jennifer counsels on a wide variety of individual and couples' issues from communication to trauma recovery and spiritual healing and is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Jennifer is co-author of The Five Languages of Apology with Dr. Gary Chapman. Visit her website at www.drjenthomas.com. Jennifer and her husband, J.T., serve together on the marriage team at their home church and have three children.
DrWayneH1 Stars Out Of 5Repeat/Rework of bookMarch 12, 2015DrWayneHValue: 1Meets Expectations: 1This would be a great book if it were not for the fact that it is simply a re-release of "The Five Languages of Apology" by the same authors under a different title! I wasted my money and time securing this one thinking that it would be something "more," especially on the very theme of the title itself. It is not...don't bother with this "re-release". Just go find the older version under the old title and buy it. I find it unethical for an author(s) and a publisher for that matter, to pull this sort of scam just to sell books!
