this is beautifully written, and a wonderful way to intoduce children to the creation story. I loved the illustrations too!

This is a neat LITTLE book (smaller than I expected). It's a poem for young toddlers so you can't expect deep theological content. At one point it does imply that all people were created at once but then on the Sabbath page it shows just two people. I think that was the author's way of showing how God created all races and all kinds of people differently. That picture shows young and old and in between and most nationalities. Not sure why it's stuck in with Creation Week, except that God did create all of mankind when He created Adam and Eve. Also, my kids noticed that nobody has shirts on. While no anatomy is showing (shoulders up pictures), I didn't quite like that. Parents just may have a little explaining to do but when don't we! The poem itself is very nice and I enjoyed reading it for myself as well as my little ones.

A very cute little book - and a great buy - that tells the story of creation in poetry form. Lots of colourful illustrationson each page captures the imagination of the small reader and offers lots to discuss as you read together. All in all a very interesting book for bed times.

I did not like this book. In fact, I threw it out rather than give it to our grandchildren. It's from England if I recall and maybe they think differently about things. It did not have the traditional lovely pictures depicting the wonders of creation and what it did have is the newly popular social justice-type message about treating people fairly, etc. It also had a bunch of people being created all at once.
