Tell us a little about yourself. I am a woman with many definitions. Mother, daughter, wife, author, poet, business woman philanthropist.
What was your motivation behind this project? Something On The Inside was birth from hidden bruises in our society. The pains we don't like to talk about, therefore they get covered up. Through my life experience I have seen the struggles of Christians whether immature, born-again and devout. God chose me to write about the things people are afraid to talk about.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? Healing. I want people to recognize that it is okay to go through serious trials and not have the answers. I also hope that my readers see counseling or therapy as something other than taboo or unnecessary. Just like going to the doctor when illness invades the body, our minds need wellness and preventative measures too.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? I discovered that many readers were receptive to the storyline and characters. I've have people say that they changed things in their lives after reading my book. That is powerful...humbling, yet powerful.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? Maya Angelou, Jacquelin Thomas, James Patterson, Nancy Moser...I read a wide variety of genres.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: That God heals in many forms. Know him and learn yourself.
