Product Description

Kristin Scott (Brooke Burns) faces the toughest challenge of her life. When she is unfairly blamed for the death of her father, the captain of her firefighting team, she tries to restore her reputation by joining an elite group of firefighters called Smoke Jumpers. As a Smoke Jumper, she parachutes out of airplanes to combat wildfires and save lives, working to earn respect from her team and honor the memory of her father. This movie shows determination when family and friends are beating you down. It also shows about forgiveness, great family movie. July 28, 2010

I'm giving this two stars on the basis of family friendliness. My reasons are as follows: LANGUAGE (I expected 2-3 swear words based on its PG rating, but my family was continuously surprised by uses of "Dxxx" and "Hxxx" among the firefighters and it didn't add anything to the story except to make us cringe), ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION (characters are frequently shown with beer, scotch and/or wine bottles - again unnecessary to developing the plot), and LACK OF STRONG MESSAGE (one gathers the family stood by each other in the end in spite of differing opinions, but if you're looking for a movie with a strong Biblical or moral message - this one is not it). In addition, the plot line was predictable (my siblings enjoyed predicting what would happen next) and some scenes were unrealistic, i.e. the need for repeling in the first repeling scene. It was interesting to learn about Smoke Jumpers, but I'd rather have done so another way. January 6, 2010

I love this movie! Its a movie of courage and strength. It's facing the obstacles and succeeding at doing your very best. It's about integrity and wisdom. Simply put "Courage under fire". Awesome! Awesome! Great actors and actresses. I am so glad I have this in my collection. A movie every woman should see for hope and encouragement in a male dominated environment. Wonderfully played.
