I have been buying this book series for my husband who absolutely loves them! He is an avid reader of the Thoene's and says this series is fantastic. They weave the word of God into the story line magnificently! My husband says it is a "two thumbs" up book series. November 23, 2012

Wow, what a series. I have read the A.D. Chronicles Series through the Sixth Covenant and #6 was just as captivating as 1 thru 5. I'm looking forward to the remaining books of the series. The writing is so descriptive, several times I felt a part of the story. March 28, 2012

This novel, alike all Thoene books, is brilliant. I continue to be astounded as to how these authors manage to so captivate readers in a story that has been told so many times, and how they provide a completely new aspect of this timeless tale. The descriptions and characterizations are spectacular, and the authors' gifts as historical writers are shown in how they intigrate historical and biblical information into the storyline, keeping the novel true to its facts but still mantaining a fresh and new air to the story. There was a point in the novel when I could no longer see what was actually real and what was written from the author's imagination, the writing is that excellent. However while it is very informative, "Sixth Covenant" is also a very emotional book.... after Rachel's young boys are murdered by the Roman soldiers, I just started to sob, the novel affected me that strongly! And I do not ever cry for books, this was, with a few exceptions, the first time. This book, along with all its prequels, is most definitely recommended as some of the best historical Christian fiction you will find! March 3, 2008
