I couldn't wait for this book to come out. After reading "Daughters of Twin Oaks", I was waiting at the bookstore for the truck to arrive the day of this book's release.I wasn't disappointed. Lauraine Snelling captures the essence of the Civil War era, while leading us on an adventure of intrigue and mystery. Can't wait for the next edition in the series!

This book, as with others from this writer, is great. The story line flows smoothly, yet with enough action to hold your interest. What I appreciate the most is the way Christ and Christianity are weaved into the story; thus making it an essential part of the story without overpowering the story line and making it too religious. I could not put the book down once I picked it up. It was great.
