Darren DiCinni is a normal, quiet teenager. He reminds me of Dylan Klebold the Columbine killer. Both their looks were deceiving. Darren, a thirteen-year-old has just shot six people to death in cold blood, at a baseball game.
Lindy Field, Darren's ambitious defense attorney doesn't accept a life-without-parole offer. With twists and turns in this story of danger, suspense and corruption we see Lindy fight against public opinion and great odds.
I found myself wondering why Lindy would fight for an insanity plea. I even found myself against her. At the end of the book I didn't wonder any more. Evil comes in many different forms and it is not always as it seems. Lindy had that gut feeling that something wasn't right. She didn't stop until the truth was made known. This was a great book by James Scott Bell.
