Oracle Triple CTucson, AZAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Totally worth it!July 11, 2013Oracle Triple CTucson, AZAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4I have used numerous math programs in my years of teaching and MIF, is by far, the one that makes the most sense. I love the way that the Singapore Math approaches math problem solving as completing a puzzle... there are many ways to solve a problem. The curriculum is developmentally appropriate and provides adequate practice without the "drill and kill." My only complaint, is the practice opportunities in the Student Book (even beginning at 1st grade) do not provide enough space for the child to write an answer. Make sure to purchase the student books AND student workbooks. If you have a solid understanding of mathematical principles, then there really is no need for the teacher's guide. Problem solving steps and the skills that are taught are outlined well in the Student Book. Great program... and well worth the investment!
