The story is well paced and the dialogue is crisp; it keeps the reader entertained and motivated to continue turning pages. The relationships between Sara and her many friends are unique and heart-warming. There is one scene in particular that is very touching. Sara finds herself very lost, and she receives a simple gift from a friend whom she has hurt, signifying that her friend cares deeply for Sara.
Sara soon finds that living in a city with people of the world is harder than she thought. However, she determines to live like those around her, and her efforts are rewarded. Colossians 3:23 is reflected in her diligence: Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.
Sara is a sweet, quiet girl who loves fashion and is willing to work hard to succeed. She adapts to the new ways of life with a little help from her trusty friends and a co-worker named William. At first, Sara and William rub each other the wrong way, but slowly the acquaintance blossoms into a warm friendship and then a deeper relationship.
The book leaves its readers with a warm feeling and a good story to contemplate. I recommend this Amish romance. Simply Sara is a great tale for young adult women who like coming of age stories. Molly Anderson, www.ChristianBookPreviews.com
