Nurture a love of the English language, along with an understanding of how it's correctly used, with Shurley English. Appealing to all styles of learners, students will practice old and new skills, developing a mastery of English in reading, writing and thinking skills.

This kit is comprised of the student workbook, teacher's manual and jingle/introductory sentence CD. Encouraging student-teacher interaction, lessons are scripted, with directions for student italicized, important concepts and words bolded, and charts included to help instructors and students visualize each idea. 

This Level 1 kit covers nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, and prepositions; statements and questions, word order, basic punctuation, letters and more. Grade 1.

This level 2 kit covers declarative, interrogative, and exclamatory sentences, basic parts of speech, complete and simple sentences, parts of a library, capitalization, punctuation, irregular verbs, tense, an introduction to prepositions, articles, narrative, descriptive, & creative writing, and more. Grade 2.

This level 3 kit is comprised of the student workbook, teacher's manual and jingle/introductory sentence CD. All eight parts of speech and all sentence types are covered, as well as sentence parts, predicates, and direct objects, prepositions; quotations; parts of a book, outlining and dictionary skills; subject-verb agreement; double negatives; homonyms; capitalization in numerous contexts; verbs; punctuation; expository, persuasive, descriptive, narrative and creative writing. Grade 3.

This level 4 kit covers the eight parts of speech; sentence types; parts of speech including indirect objects; quotations; reference skills; usage including pronoun/antecedent agreement; capitalization including outlines; verbs; pronouns; conjunctions; punctuation; letter, expository, persuasive, descriptive, narrative, and creative writing; figures of speech and writing autobiographies. Grade 4.

Divided into a jingle section, reference section, practice section, and a test section, students will need to flip to the necessary section in order to complete their lesson practice; the teacher manual is arranged by comprehensive chapters that include everything needed for that lesson.
