The jingles really stick in their heads. My oldest son is excelling in his language/grammar test scores, and I attribute that to Shurley Grammar.

This has been most helpful. We run back a little bit in the Shurley and also use LLATL @ grade level...
Nita Watkins5 Stars Out Of 5September 15, 2010Nita WatkinsWe have tried various English cirriculum and by far Shurley English is the best. It uses rhymes (jingles) to teach the 8 parts of speach. The child labels the sentence instead of diagraming. Both of my children consistently do better with labeling than diagraming. Easy to teach and easy to learn. They love to sing the jingles too.
