This is an excellent series. It taught me grammar right along with my sons! You don't have to know grammar to teach it, but you will learn it! This work book is straight forward, very economical, not pretty. I gave it 4.5 becuase things are so jammed in there they can be hard to find and it is kind of boring to look at. I have tried other curriculums, but this really is the best.

We love Shurley English!! Once you get over the overwhelming looking teachers guide, it is easy to use & kids don't forget what they have learned! There is a lot of repetition & once you start using it you will won't be disappointed with the results you see in your kids. We have used this before and are just starting with child number 2!

We have used this before with our daughter and are now ready to jump in with our son. It is what we expected and will be a big help as we continue homeschooling our kids.

This is one of the worst homeschooling books I have ever seen. It's confusing and tries to put too much information on each page so you are constantly trying to figure out what it is talking about. I just wish I had researched it more before buying it and the other items that go with it.
