Taken as a whole, they offer solace to those facing life's trials, while also asking the reader to examine the idols and illusions that keep us from experiencing the fullness of God's peace and joy. The meditations vary in length from relatively short poems to longer writings that require time and reflection in order to get the most benefit. Journaling after each meditation would be ideal. I highly recommend this devotional.
