We have loved Sheep Snacks so far! My kids watch them over and over and we have all kinds of "one liners" from them that just make us laugh. They get the point across in a way that you remember. And, they are not longwe watch one each night before bed and talk about the scripture/message.
It really was my fault that I bought this and found that it was not meant for children my daughters' ages. My youngest is 12 years old. Maybe it's more for children between ages 5 to 9. It sure seemed like it would be a cute and fun thing to watch.
Okay, first let me say that these guys are crazy! There is a method to their madness! It's not meant to be a heavy ,or completely serious Bible lesson. Sometimes you learn best when you're laughing! Once they get your childs attention, then they apply a Bible lesson, one they do remember. I have 3 boys, and I use this as a tool when sometimes there's just, junk on TV on Saturday morning. If I need to bake a cake and just need to know where my kids are for 30 mins. it's nice to know that funny Christian entertainment can keep them at bay for a few minutes!! We love it!! My kids ages are 8yrs-14yrs. even my oldest laughed and said, "They should show some of these at Youth Group!!! For the price you can't miss!!! ;0 ENJOY!!
I'm surprised at the negative reviews. It's hard to see an item we love so much dogged so badly. Yes, the videos are silly and wacky, but they are also clever, original, and scripturally encouraging. Kids love them. Good for ages 5-12ish, and maybe over, I'd say. As Mom, I thought they were funny, too. I found scripture to be treated respectfully and with importance. It's just in a goofy format. I know some people dislike Veggie Tales for the same reason, but we love those, too. This set is a great value. It is 1000 times better than so much of the trash on TV, and kids like to watch it. It makes mine laugh out loud!
I am glad I watched the trailer of these videos. I would not purchase these. Too many ridiculous, stupid scenes just to show a Bible truth. There's got to be a better more appropriate way to teach good character, values and Bible truths.
