I disagree with the previous reviewer who felt Brad's need for forgiveness hurt Emma and that God was already working in her. Emma had not moved on at all, keeping relationships at bay and feeling she was unworthy of the love of God or any man. Her need for forgiveness was as great as Brad's, but she didn't think she could have it.This is a wonderful book: this is probably the way this type of situation should work out for all involved to find forgiveness and move on, but, sadly, I'm afraid in real life people rarely seek to handle it in this way. Perhaps this book will lead to comfort and forgiveness for those who read it. May it be so.

Brad's need for forgiveness was selfish and hurt Emma and Laura. God was obviously already working in Emma and Laura. The ending didn't work for me, though the overall book was well written.

Another excellant book by Karen Kingsbury. Shades of Blue is a story that teaches about forgiving yourslef along with apologizing to others you have hurt. The book also shows when God is in your life all things are possible.

This book was so good. I couldn't help but cry because some parts were so sad in it. I think it needs to be continued on in another book. It was a great read.

I always love Karen Kingsbury, she has such a way with Christian fiction, I haven't finished the book (won't be long now), but I'm sure I will be very satisfied as I have with all her writings.
