Product Description

Mackenzie Allen Philips' youngest daughter, Missy, has been abducted during a family vacation and evidence that she may have been brutally murdered is found in an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Four years later in the midst of his "Great Sadness," Mack receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him back to that shack for a weekend. Against his better judgment he arrives at the shack on a wintry afternoon and walks back into his darkest nightmare. What he finds there will change Mack's world forever. In a world where religion seems to grow increasingly irrelevant "The Shack" wrestles with the timeless question, "Where is God in a world so filled with unspeakable pain?" The answers Mack gets will astound you and perhaps transform you as much as it did him.

I had read the book and decided to get on cd. It was even better, through the tears and just wanting to renew my own relationship with the Lord. It touched my heart. I am going to order some more to just pass out for family and friends to read and or listen to.

This book MUDDIES TRUTH...the Trinity, the role and person and work of Christ, and the way of salvation. Good fiction can convey truth even though it’s not factual, bad fiction conveys lies even though not factual becomes truth and muddies the REAL TRUTH. 2 Timothy 4:2-4 "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths."

Really lousy story and a lousy listen. I can see why Christian who know their Bibles are ticked at the deceit presented concerning the Trinity. Ouch!

Although I had read the Shack 2x already, my husband and I were riveted by the audio - it's so enthralling, thought provoking! We liked it so much, as soon as we completed the 7CDs, we immediately put on CD3 and listened to the end again! Awesome!
