Love Works is a framework for successful leadership. It outlines a counterintuitive but proven path to success through a passionate and motivated workforce. The mainstay of this philosophy is leading with love, which relies on seven time-provenbut unfortunately not-so-often testedprinciples that break down the natural walls within corporate cultures, empower managers and employees, disarm difficulties, and cultivate an atmosphere that builds long-term success. The key to leading with love is turning love from an emotion into an action. This shift fosters strong relationships, which in turn builds enthusiastic employees and leads to enthusiastic customers. Using love at work also leverages the undeniable truth that love builds healthy relationship at home, so why not use the same behavior to build healthy relationships at work? The book will explore the seven principles of love, which are patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving and dedicated. Joel Manby is proof that leading with love works. He has refined and relied upon this leadership philosophy for more than a quarter-centuryfirst as a highly successful corporate executive at Saturn, then as Saab North Americas CEO, and most recently as president and CEO of Herschend Family Entertainment (HFE). HFE was also featured in the CBS hit show Undercover Boss. Overwhelmed by the response of the 18 million viewers who loved seeing love in action, Manby decided to share these principles.
Joel Manby is president and CEO of Herschend Family Entertainment Corporation (HFE). Previously he has worked for GM, Saturn, and Saab. Joel and his wife, Marki, have four daughters and reside in suburban Atlanta.

Is it the boss or the workers? Is it how they work together or how well they stay away from each other? This book shows how the author, Joel Manby, uses certain Biblical principles to run his corporation and keep it successful.
I found the ideas in this book interesting and found the authors' approach to leadership a much-needed approach in today's business atmosphere. The book itself is very easy to understand and follow. This is a great book for anyone in a leadership position to read. Just by the writing style you can see that the author has a kind heart and enjoys sharing with others ways to better their companies.
I gave this book 5/5 stars for numerous reasons. The main reason I gave this book a high rating was because it had such great ideas to improve the workplace. I think everyone can learn something from this book!
