Product Description

The Sermon as Symphony is a call to consider the way that biblical texts present themselves. Graves proposes that the literary forms of the texts provide clues on how to preach them, resulting in an approach that he calls "form-sensitive." Examines 10 of the most significant and practical literary forms in the New Testament. Also included are sample sermons by some of today's best known preachers.

This is a wonderful companion for preachers who desire to let Scripture speak for itself in the course of preaching. Mike's advice is exemplary, his understanding of the literary forms of scripture incisive, and his inclusion of exemplary sermons extremely valuable. I would recommend that every preacher take a look.
