This book is not your average biography. It does tell an intriguing life-story, but it is also a teaching book. Nabeel has a very analytical mind, so when he writes, he shows the process and reasoning for his conclusions. I am somewhat familiar with what people trained in the sciences are up against when confronted with faith in the supernatural, but on top of that, Mr. Qureshi also had an extremely strong family support system and childhood training in Islam that were the center of everything he knew--and that is what makes the story so compelling. For days after finishing the book, I was still stunned at the realization of how much he had to give up in his search for Truth. His was no thunderclap conversion, but a methodical multi-year process. As inspiring as his testimony is, the reader will get a practical benefit too: the book readjusted my views of the Islam-related political problems facing America and the world. This book will help you know where the line of God's love is drawn between accommodating religious freedom and standing against false doctrine.
A Young Muslim Explores the Claims of Christianity and Compares Them with His Own Beliefs

Growing Up Muslim
Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus is a first-person account of Nabeel Qureshi as he grew up as a Muslim in Western culture. It provides a vivid contrast between the mindset of Eastern and Western thought and value systems.
Nabeel begins by reminiscing about his childhood and family life. This exploration takes the reader into new territory as he explains various Muslim customs. Although terminology is defined on each page, it does slow down a reader who is unfamiliar with it. Still, the glimpse of Muslim life was intriguing enough to keep me reading.
Muslim Meets Christian
When Nabeel reached college, the narrative took a dramatic turn as he became best friends with David, a Christian who offered a quiet and steadfast testimony for Christ. David had the sense to quietly listen to Nabeel as he struggled with his faith. Rather than arguing, David asked Nabeel penetrating questions about Islam and the Quran, urging his Muslim friend to find real, objective answers through research rather than clinging to the beliefs of his upbringing.
Why Do You Believe What You Believe?
Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus takes the reader on a journey of discovery as a young Muslim man compares the beliefs of Islam and Christianity, the Quran and the Bible. He gives readers a front row seat to the findings of his research and the personal turmoil he felt as his belief system crumbled.
Whether you have questions about Islam or Christianity, this book will give you a glimpse into each belief system. Follow a young Muslim man as he explores the veracity of the claims of the Christian faith and compares them with his own beliefs.
One of the intriguing aspects of the book is how Nabeel weaves apologetics (a defense of the Christian faith) into a narrative, making it accessible to everyone. Many people, especially skeptics, wouldnt delve into the pages of a theology book, but they would read a biography. And this particular biography is laced with definitive facts about the death and resurrection of Jesus and the veracity of the Bible.
Excellent insight into Christian and Muslim faiths.

Loved this story ...it gave me a whole new perspective on the love and life of a Muslim family.
To see faith in Jesus as God ...coming from a once true believer in Allah - is what TRUTH AND THE POWER OF TRUTH is all about. Changing us from believing lies to believing Truth by the power of God's Word. Thoroughly enjoyed the way the boys cared about their friendship-respected each other in their beliefs and challenged each other to make their case for Christ, Buddha, and Allah- proved to be very interesting. it is an excellent example of a learning process for all who are truly seeking to know truth and will set aside all else to find it.
I had read reviews about this book and it sounded very interesting. I started to order it a while ago but changed my mind, just decided to think about it some more. When I got on Christianbook.com again, it was there, in my wishlist, waiting. I decided to go ahead and order it and was soooo glad I did. This book is great in that it gave me a better understanding of the Muslim faith and the differences from our Christian faith. Mr. Qureshi does an awesome job of letting you feel the struggles he went through. I was in awe of his relationship with his Christian friend David, what a great testimony, both on Nabeel's part and his friend David's. A must read, I loved it and will probably read it again!
I have nothing but praise for this marvellous and insightful story by Nabeel Qureshi.I was born in India and lived there for many years, before partition and had much contact with Muslims. Who were of the calibre of Nabeel's parents and were dear friends. But I confess, I learnt more about the things that divide us Christians, from Muslims, from the in depth portayal of their life and family structure, from Nabeel's book, than ever before.
I was humbled and amazed at the diligence with which Nabeel made his journey to the foot of the Cross.
This is a book I would read again and again! Powerful witness for the Lord Jesus.Thank you Nabeel for sharing your moving story with the world. My only concern was the cover of the book tended to curl up, after several days of reading. That did Not deter me! I couldn't wait to read it till the end and was only disappointed it ended at all!!
