An excellent series recommended to all
I found this series excellent both in an historical sense and in the basic truths of the gospel as brought to us by the Word of God and would recommend them highly to all.

I read these years ago. Historical fiction at its best! I love this kind of book and have read many of Michael Phillips' books.

The "Secret of the Rose" series was highly recommended to me by a friend. As one who is not typically a fan of Christian fiction, I began to skeptically read the series and was won over before I was even half-way through the first book. Not only does Phillips intertwine within the books elements of historical fiction, romance, adventure, and suspense with the skill of a seasoned author, but he consistently brings to focus spiritual Truths that are priceless. His characters are inspiring, and the principles are golden. I only wish that there were more books in the series, for it is hard for me to put down these books. I highly recommend this series, especially for Christian readers looking for practical, albeit fictional, examples of living the Christ-like life in the modern world.
