It takes a bit of planning, but the study is fun, relevant, and thought provoking. I appreciate that there is a quiet time in the girl's diary for 5 days each week. The dates are fun and it gives enough flexibility to really make it doable, even in a busy schedule.

I am VERY happy with this product! The stories and the way that Dannah tells them truly captivates my 7 year old daughters attention. After Dannah finishes the stories I can see the light go on in my daughters head as to what that story is trying to tell us about being a Christian.

I just started going through this book with my 10 year old daughter and we just went on our first date this pass weekend and me and her were really blessed. It is an awesome book, it gives you tools to help you connect with your daughter and if your like me sometimes we need a little direction and this book uses Godly principles. My daughter is really excited about going on our dates and most importantly has gotten her more excited about Gods word.

I adapted this SKG Kit for use in a church setting at Ozark Baptist Church for a summer Bible study with first through sixth grade girls. It was an AWESOME experience. God truly blessed it! Each Wednesday night the girls attended a tea party where they received their very own china tea cups (all different, of course!). All of the concepts are Bible based. This is a very appealing way to teach modesty! The girls (and I) had FUN!! We concluded the SKG study with a Mother/Daughter Tea and gifted the SKG Kit to each mom. Each SKG then got to take home the tea cup she had chosen. I would highly recommend this to moms, but don't stop there. It turned out perfect in a church setting as well. Thank you, Dannah! I know the girls were blessed, but I feel that I received the greater blessing.

My Mom and me are doing this thing together and it's really fun and challenging. At first I was like whatever but as we kept going it was fun! I recommend this kit highly!

My daughter is 10, and we have decided to create a small group with three of her friends and their moms. The eight of us are journeying together and enjoying the dates. We use the Secret Keeper: The Delicate Power of Modesty book too, as a launching pad for discussion. It really works well in a small group context, as the other girls and moms help move the conversation along, especially during any awkward moments. The girls are loving the discussions and the fun and we moms are enjoying bonding with our girls and each other.
I highly recommend this book and also getting a group of friends who are close, trustworthy and value each others' opinions. Coincidentally, our girls all know each other, but do not go to the same school, church or social events. This proved very helpful, as one girl expressed thankfulness that she could share private thoughts and feelings without feeling like what she shared would be gossiped at school or anywhere else. That was a God thing - totally unintentional. I would also recommend inviting girls whose moms can feel comfortable too. You never know what your daughter may blurt out that could be potentially embarrassing. If you create an inviting, safe place, you will be amazed at what you learn about your daughter - and what she learns about you. Enjoy!
