Second Chance in Dry Creek
This book follows a woman who goes through a hard time in a relationship. She decided to rebuild her life, thinking she could never be truly happy. As you get to know the main character of Gracie you canâÂÂt help but cheer her on! As she begins to have feelings for an old friend you wonder if she will give in or give up! I gave this book 5/5 stars. I thought the characters were likable and their conversations flowed. The setting did not really help the story and in reality I felt like it could have been set anywhere. I did, however, enjoy the idea of the book that everyone deserves love and happiness no matter their past circumstances. I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to read a Christian romance that highlights redemption.
I would like to thank the publisher for the copy of this book I enjoyed reading. I gave an honest review based on my opinion of what I read.

Now it's Gracie's turn.
In the previous books in the Return to Dry Creek Series, Gracie has watched her sons find the loves of their lives, marry, and settle down on the family's ranch. In Second Chance in Dry Creek, Gracie still struggles with feeling accepted in the town where she grew up and raised her sons. But she also must recover from the affects of her abusive marriage and its drastic end. Gracie proves that she is a loving and kind woman, caring for neighbor Calen's new-found granddaughter. But learning to trust is difficult for Gracie. However, Calen patiently proves himself worthy of her trust, and they are both given second chances at love and happiness.
I enjoyed this book. I loved reading about Gracie's growth as a person, and getting to know Calen, who has had his eye on Gracie since high school.
I received a copy of this book from the author, in exchange for this review.

Janet has once again taken us to the delightful town of Dry Creek and given us characters that are real and thoughtful. Although the characters in this book are older, they are nonetheless, relateable. Gracie feels that because she had an abusive first marriage, she's not going to try love again but Calen, who has been in love with her since high school, plans to change her mind and show her that she deserves to be treasured and loved. As a "second story" there is a crime going on which helps all the characters "find their way" to resolving many issues. It's a wonderful read!

A Wonderful Story
My first trip to Dry Creek--and I loved it!
A strange girl appears on Gracie Stone's doorstep, and utters the name "Calen" before passing out.
As it would turn out, the girl, Renee is Gracie's neighbor, Calen's daughter. Calen has always had a spot in his heart for Gracie Stone, but has always respected her space and choices.
Gracie struggles to rebuild her life after prison and hold her head high, is it possible that she might have a second chance at love?
Though I haven't read any of the earlier books I had no trouble getting into this latest installment. There were times when I wished that I had read the other books so that I could have understood a little more of the backstory.
There was great interaction between Gracie and Calen, and I liked how they were a little older than your typical romance couple would be.
Gracie had to overcome the ghosts of her past and realize that her late-husband no longer had a hold on her anymore. I really liked how Calen wasn't too agressive in the relationship, but gave Gracie the time to find herself again.
Gracie's sons and daughters-in-law were so sweet, and created just a great sense of community. Overall this was a great read, I really liked how the relationship grew throughout the book. There was also a mystery, with plenty of suspense. I'm thinking that I'll be taking some more trips to Dry Creek in the future!
I received this ebook from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!
