Author Bio

Shawna Songer Gaines, MDiv, Nazarene Theological Seminary, co-pastors Bakersfield Church of the Nazarene in Bakersfield, CA. Shawna has served as a youth pastor in Chicago and as a communications consultant for Nazarene Missions International. She is the author of the Bible study series Breathe and the co-author of A Seat at the Table: A Generation Reimagining Its Place in the Church. Timothy (M.Div., Nazarene Theological Seminary) is a doctoral fellow at the Stead Center for Ethics and Values at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary and teaches theology and ethics. His Ph.D. dissertation focuses on Trinitarian theology and Christian ethics.
