Can world religions or prevailing
philosophies bring forgiveness to people
who continue to ignore moral laws?
What do the great thinkers of history have to say: Plato, Aristotle, Confucius, Voltaire, and Hawking?
Do the Qur'an or Hindu and Buddhist writings offer a concrete answer?
Does any individual offer an answer for this unquenchable thirst for forgiveness?
Throughout human history, thoughtful people have recognized three fundamental truths:
** the existence of God
** the corruption of human nature
** a moral law
Yet, like potent chemicals these three ingredients are seldom combined. Why are they kept in isolation? This book provides a convincing answer. When taken together, these three truths lead inevitably to a disturbing conclusion.
Can God forgive immoral people without ignoring moral laws? Searching for Answers examines prevailing philosophies and world religions to see whether these approaches solve this universal dilemma.
The first five chapters scrutinize the common thirst through history, philosophy, and religions for forgiveness.
The concluding chapter articulates a radical solution-one, which lets God both forgive and punish unmoral acts.

Tell us a little about yourself. I am a Christian, an attorney, and a leader of apologetics small groups at a seeker church, Woodridge Church in Medina, Minnesota. My co- author is Paul Johnson, the senior pastor at Woodridge.
What was your motivation behind this project? To write an apologetics book for seekers who do not accept the accuracy of the Scriptures. Using a wide range of multi-cultural sources, we establish the universal moral law, the corruption of human nature, and the universal need for forgiveness. We then critique the adequacy of standard world religions to resolve this universal dilemma.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? Seekers and Christians will gain confidence that Christianity meets the universal need for forgiveness.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? Eusebius, Aquinas, Edwards, Finney
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: This book provides a multicultural defense for the doctrine of original sin.
