Ida Scudder was sure she would never follow in the footsteps of her medical missionary father. But when she witnessed Indian women dying because their religious beliefs didn't allow male doctors to treat them, Ida heard herself pray, "God, if You want me to, I will spend the rest of my life in India trying to help these women."
For ages 10 and up.

Homeschool Specialists' Review
There are hidden treasures in these books about our Christian ancestors. They tell tales that build our faith by revealing God at work in the lives of people who placed their trust in him! They are testimonies to how God will work through both ordinary and extraordinary people alike. They celebrate the type of courageous, dedicated, and godly heroes we want our children to admire.
Little pieces of the stories bring back the fondest memories of our homeschool days. I found these books personally faith-building, and I know they have helped shape my children's faith as well. Approx. 200 pages each, softcovers from YWAM.
Nancy Gonzales5 Stars Out Of 5March 14, 2005Nancy GonzalesThis is a book that every parent should read to their children. As I was reading this book to my children there were several times when tears ran down my face. What God did touched me so much. The work that he did through the Scudder's and others in India is amazing. It will allow one to see God's awesome power and the rewards of following Him and doing His work. This book will challenge readers to really get a clearer picture of missions and the work that it takes. Excellent book!!
