This student workbook and fact card set includes everything your student needs to get the consistent practice needed for understanding math using the Saxon Math 3 program. The two flip-top style workbooks include over 130 worksheets (with perforated edges for easy removal), as well as assessment forms. Drill sheets are single-sided, but worksheets are double-sided and labeled Side A/Side B; Side A is completed with assistance during the lesson, and Side B is completed later in the day in an effort to improve retention. 1-2 fact sheets are completed daily. Twenty-six pages of color-coded "fact cards" provide plenty of addition, subtraction multiplication, and division review, and provide an opportunity for students to use fact strategies from the lesson to solve problems.
This kit includes: 2 student workbooks and 1 fact card set. Grade 3. Consumable, non-reproducible workbooks. Classroom recording forms are also included, along with oral assessment forms.

SChomeschoolingmom5 Stars Out Of 5Excellent resource packetSeptember 4, 2014SChomeschoolingmomQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I love this curriculum. It is easy to use and implement. Everything is in order and is easily torn out and added to my daughters portfolio. My only suggestion would be to make it into one big workbook (for convenience only). I am a first time homeschooling parent and this curriculum is very easy to follow. It teaches your child the method to the madness of math that sometimes we as adults we forget. For example, today my daughter was learning about adding nine to a number (9 + 1 = 10). For some people, it is easy to just add the two numbers but this curriculum provided a lesson on other ways to come up with your answer. Add 10 and then subtract 1 from your new answer. This may seem like this is the hard way but when the student gets to 4th grade and they have to add 35 + 39 using mental math, the student will be able to just round 39 to 40 and then take 1 off of their answer. I have a daughter doing this lesson in 4th grade right now and she is amazed at how fast she can add two digit numbers together without having to rack her brain over it...Thanks Saxon for making this homeschooling mom's life that much easier.
CM5 Stars Out Of 5A great product.September 4, 2014CMQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5We have used Saxon with all of our children who homeschooled starting with Saxon 3; we used Saxon all the way through.
I would recommend Saxon each and every time, I reviewed and checked others, but Saxon kept coming out on top, especially at the high school levels; we do include the DIVE starting at 8/7.
I ordered the workbooks for level 3 again, because we will now have our grand son start with Saxon 3. Before level 3 we have never used a "formal curriculum" so I cannot speak to the K through 2 volumes, but 3 and up get 5 stars from us.
