Overall, I love Saxon Math. The repititveness of the work has been very helpful for my daughter. Concepts seem to stay with her. The only negative I have is the same. I'm beginning to wonder if there is too much repititiveness. I think she is getting bored. We may jump ahead and try new things. I will still give Saxon 5 stars because initially getting a K or 1st grader interested in math is not easy. I always love Christianbooks. I feel like I get the best prices and the shipping is not too over the top. I get my orders in a timely manner too.
I've only had this product for a week but I will say that the pages are NOT perforated, like stated. Also the paper is terrible quality compared to other companies. I cannot speak for the quality of the lessons because we haven't started just yet. I had to take the student workbooks to Staples and pay them to unbind the book so I didn't have to RIP the pages out daily.
Very easy to follow and it mixes up the lessons so the student doesn't get bored. My child doesn't like to do things over and over again, so it is perfect for us. If you want to hit a subject until it is mastered, this is not the book for you.
