My child started this program at her school and the homeschool program is exactly the same as the program she did at her school. The kit has everything you need and she is doing great!

I used Saxon Math when I was home schooled as a child. Now we are using Saxon Math in our home school classroom for our kids. The meeting book is a must have.

Very easy to follow teacher instruction. The student workbook is great. You need to order the Saxon Math Kit, which is a lot fun! The whole program is a good match for our first grader who often has a hard time staying focused!

Great. It covers everything well and with great explanations. I like that it is high on the "experience it" side and uses less worksheets than others.

Saxon math is the best out there. I do recommend this for parents, who are wants their child to excel in math, We have used their products before and we are getting excellant results. I don't recommend getting the K-Math, because, with small adjustment, You can teach Math 1. I love therepetiveness in their program. Your child/children will love it.

We're happy with it. I truly can't understand why so many supposed experts review this program negatively. My son excels at math, but I still wanted something gentle. Using Saxon one grade level ahead fits that need well. This math program has interesting questions to ask the student, and includes other interesting math related topics such as graphing. My son likes having different things to do on each page every day, and because of the constant review and practice, math is even easier than before. He never forgets anything, and I don't feel that deer in the headlights, or frustrated feeling of re-teaching an old concept that got dropped such as in mastery programs. We like the manipulatives and calendar time. I did buy a "Calendar Concepts" dry eraser chart and my son loves writing things on it. Sometimes spending the money and time is worth it, if you want the best foundation for your child.
