Fun and down to earth!
Our church does many marriage enrichment classes (and counseling) for our community for free and the Parrotts materials are so real, down to earth and funny! Couples find themselves laughing over silly things that they used to argue about. No it isn't filled with scripture, but we fill in the session with our own experiences of what God can do for your marriage. A scripture filled session would scare them away. We are dealing with the unchurched most of the time. It is an outreach ministry. This one is great even for seasoned couples to kick-start their marriage. It touches on a lot of topics that seem to be constant challenges in our marriages today!

Among the best!
I LOVE this series! I am a United Methodist Pastor, and I have conducted lots of weddings and lots of pre-martital planning sessions over the years. I have used Les and Leslie's series again and again, and all the couples I have used it with have enjoyed it and gotten a lot out of our time together. This series is well-written, down-to-earth, engaging, fun and funny, inspiring, balanced, innovative, flexible, and dynamic. I have recommended this series to other pastor friends, and will continue to do so for many years. I appreciate how Les and Leslie designed something that is easy to use in our fast-paced 21st century, rather than expecting the couple to read volumes on marriage dynamics. The workbooks are brilliant and very practical! This series works great in pastor-to-couple settings, as well as group retreat settings! One of my best investments for ministry ever! Thank you, Les and Leslie, for this great series!

A very good pre-marital counseling curriculum that covers many sensitive topics in an engaging manner. I find them to be very light on spiritual content, but that can be supplimented by the presenter.

This curriculum is equally good for those planning to marry as it is for those who have been married for years. We use this series as part of our church's marriage mentoring program and found it to be very popular. It covers important and thought provoking questions, yet the Parrott's style is very relaxed, inviting, honest, and easy to relate to. Each lesson opens up lots of dialogue and great lessons can be learned by exploring the exercises in the workbooks. We've used this curriculum with our engaged couples and even with a group of couples married 25+ years. We've also found it to be very good to use with our mentoree couples who are not yet Christians.
