Product Description

The Creator has called us to care for life, his creation. Unfortunately, many evangelical Christians have decided that value has too much political baggage attached to it and has forsaken caring for God's creation.

In Saving God's Green Earth: Rediscovering the Church's Responsibility to Environmental Stewardship, pastor and author Tri Robinson clearly shows the biblical mandate for environmental stewardship---and how doing so will change the world around us. Through biblical examples, everyday stories, and practical know-how Robinson delivers a powerful message that cannot be ignored. His insights into how to move people from the idea of stewarding God's creation to actually participating will clearly show leaders in the evangelical Christian community how to raise this value. And not only does he make a compelling case for placing great importance on caring for God's creation, he also shows how it can become an incredible tool for evangelism.

Tell us a little about yourself.  Tri Robinson is the founding pastor of the Vineyard Boise Church in Boise, Idaho, a fellowship of over 2,500, and has been instrumental in inspiring evangelicals to engage in creation care. With a strong teaching background that includes a Masters degree in administrative education, he is a sought-after conference speaker and passionate about transferring his working insights and experience on church leadership to a wide spectrum of churches. Tri and his wife, Nancy, life in Sweet, Idaho, and have two grown children, Kate and Brook.

What was your motivation behind this project?  I was convicted about the evangelical church's lack of care for the environment, starting with myself. As our church began to engage in environmental stewardship, we confidently forged ahead knowing we were in obedience to God's Word and we saw doors fly open to participate with people who generally show a cold shoulder toward the church.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  I hope people will think deeply about creation care and what that means from a biblical world view.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  It challenged me to be a better steward in my personal life. I "went green" with a head first dive--and the benefits have been tremendous.
