This powerful inspirational book is based on the message of the new movie,
To Save a Life. It is a call for teens to identify with Jesus by crossing social boundaries and befriending the lost, hurting, lonely and hopeless. It is also a call to prayerfully identify the people God has brought into their lives that are just dying to be heard and needs God's unconditional love and grace!
To Save a Life: Dare to Make Your Life Count
Although I think they tried too hard to appeal to teenagers, I think this book was very inspiring. I love the quotes and the Bible passages at the beginning of each chapter. The only thing I didn't like was that it wasn't written very maturely and over-appealed to teenagers, but the over all content was great.

As the title suggests this book is radical. It challenges you to answer one of the most important questions you'll ever face: What is my life going to be about? Is it going to be about drinking or partying or just having fun? Or maybe, just surviving another day? Or is it going to be about living a life of significance and making a real difference in your world? The choice is yours. This book will help you answer the question by challenging you to develop friendships that really matter, to reach out and touch the lives of other teens who are hurting and lonely, and to see the ripple effect your life can have on others. There are so many critical issues facing today's youth - depression, the cult of personality, teenage suicide, underage drinking and sustance abuse, teen pregnancy, self-injury, etc., - that standing on the sidelines is NOT an option! As parents and youth we must walk beside today's hurting and lonely teenagers, assist them in getting the help they need, and then point them to Jesus Christ - the only true answer to life's problems. The back of the book contains a list of resources that will help!
