Gay marriage is raising more and more concerns to the family that believes marriage is between one man and one women. God does not favor this behavior and our kids should not be subjected to it!

The years that have gone by since this book was published have proven the author correct in that almost every family in America has been or will be affected by gay marriage. From Proposition 8 in California to the American Psychological Association's gay Division 44 refusing to accept ex-gays, no one is immune to the effects of gay marriage.

I was interested in reading the book because it claimed that gay marriage is "putting every household at risk" in its title, back cover, and repeatedly throughout the book. However, the section, "Will Gay Marriage Threaten My Marriage" was a pathetic two paragraphs. In the first paragraph Staver writes, "Gay marriage will not affect MY marriage" (italics his). He continues (in a grammatically incorrect sentence) "but it will affect our culture, and in particular, our children." He doesn't explain how it affects culture. Children are hurt because (he writes) they'll go to school and read a book about a prince marrying a prince. In other words, gay marriage is bad because its gay marriage.So what Staver means is that gay marriage puts homosexual households at risk, about 3%, a far cry from "every household." How can we Christians tolerate such contradictions and irrational fears in our literature? Staver finds excuses to believe that he knows more about gays than they know about themselves. I'm straight, but I'm still offended.Staver labels homosexuality a "psychological disorder" without mentioned that the American Psychological Association (APA) denies that label. Without any psychology education, he explains the complex homosexual adolescent development (citing Freud and other outdated and disproven theories) in complete contrast with the APA and never mentioning there is any discrepancy. He thusly deceives readers into pseudo-science without even realizing there is disagreement.Statistics for single mothers are used for homosexual marriages without explanation.My education is in logic, not law, so Staver may treat his judicial sections fairly (where he is educated). But I can firmly conclude that he defies common sense, and is oblivious of it himself. Every Christian should take his "facts" with a grain of salt andread this with a skeptical eye or not at all.
