Lead For Gods Sake was not your typical book on leadership. The author used fictional characters to teach important skills essential to anyone that was interested in learning to become a Christ-like leader. One of the things, I found helpful, was that the author encouraged his readers to discover why they wanted to be a leader in the first place and how their past affected their desire as well as what they wanted to be a leader of. Many books on leadership do not take the time for such self-contemplation from my experience. Although the authors techniques are useful, I did discover that this type of book was not for me because I realized that I have no desire to be a leader due to my quiet nature. Though this was not my type of book, I would recommend this book to those who are natural leaders and those who are in a position of leadership because there are a lot of useful skills that I believe would benefit such people
This book was outstanding and very well written. I would recommend this book to anyone in leadership that knows Christ as their personal Savior or one who is trying to achieve what the world has to offer. I have given this book to many of my friends and all reviews back have been extremely positive.
Amazing book on leadership on not only looking to see what your team needs but also looking inside yourself as a leader. Although the book is about a basketball coach it can easily be used in any circumstance or position. I learned so much from this book about how to gain control of my team by first figuring out what I need to focus on in my own life and role.
