In today's world it can be difficult to feel safe and secure. That's why in Safe in the Shepherd's Arms Max Lucado offers a reliable source of safety and security from the twenty-third Psalm. He describes this psalm as "written by a shepherd who became a king - because he wanted us to know about a King who became a shepherd." With Psalm twenty-three as our guide, we can release our burdens, throw off our fears, and rest safely in the Shepherd's arms.

I cannot begin to say how many of these books I have ordered. It is reached over one hundred. I use them to send to my dearest friends when they have experienced the great loss of a loved one. Max Lucado has given me such comfort through the darkest times of my life. I have read so many of his books and have passed them on. With this wonderful book, "Safe in the Shepherds Arms," he has taken one of the most popular psalms known to mankind and has broken it down phrase by phrase to give comfort in the darkest hours of ones life. I will keep on giving it as long as I am able. Many of my friends tell me through their tears that they have read this book over and over again. I have just reordered ten more to keep on my shelf for when someone close to me is in need. Many thanks to Christian Book Distributors for keeping them in stock.

These books are being used in a Men's Sunday School class at Oscoda United Methodist Church. We are comparing it with all version of the 23rd Psalm and gleaning other passages of scripture as well as other Psalms. The men are really enjoying the book.

This book is perfect for offering hope and encouragement. You will never view the 23 Psalms as anything other than a LIVING promise of victory.
It is my new encouragement card; it is my new sympathy card. It is a "hard to put down" read.

I sent this book to my niece who had just lost her 19 year old son to an accidental drowning in Lake Michigan when I could not find a card that could come close to expressing what I knew in my heart God wanted her to know. Awesome book!

I LOVE this book! It's tender and gentle and helps me to feel the presence of the Lord when I'm feeling spiritually dry, or feel alone. I've read and re-read it three times now. What a lovely read!! Recommended for all believers who need a soft, gentle touch from Our Savior.
