After ten years, Ryans parents found his runaway sister, Amber. Now, as he drives to meet up with her and his parents before her wedding, his mind fills with the changes coming. Besides figuring out where she will fit into his life, a job change is on the horizon for him. But should he stick with small town life? Or should he move to Portland, Oregon? Meeting the family his sister is marrying into only brings more questions. Maybe moving to nearby Portland is the better choice. But something about the town of Crossing calls to him. Is it the friendly people who openly accept him as Ambers brother or the cute brunette who happens to be sister of the groom? As Ryan weighs the pros and cons, He decides to put God to the test. Will He answer? Will He let him know which choices to make? And what if Ryan doesnt like the answer?

Tell us a little about yourself. Over the years, God rewrote my dreams to include being a stay-at-home mom and a writer. I started by writing weekly devotions online before a mentor at the Christian Writers Guild encouraged me to try fiction.
After almost ten years in the military, my husband medically retired and we now live in Virginia with our three children. Besides writing fiction novels, I stay busy homeschooling all three and volunteering with Military Ministry, a division of Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ).
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? More than anything, I want readers to walk away from my stories with great hope. Today doesn't always look good; circumstances can feel overwhelming. But a mighty God waits for each of us to look to Him for love and support. He is in control and loves us more than we can fathom.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? The character Ryan is special to me because he represents so many people to me. They either believe or God or perhaps even attend church regularly, but when it gets down to it, they really hold God at arm's length, only letting Him get so close. My heart longs to reach out to each of these people and encourage them to take a chance! God has much more for them--for all of us--than we've dared to dream about.
