Mrs ARS5 Stars Out Of 5Another Visit to CrossingApril 23, 2013Mrs ARSQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is the second book in the Crossings series. This one focuses more on Ryan, Amber's brother. This was a heart wrenching read for me as it did deal with cancer. That bit of the book was hard for me to get through but it was important in the story. I really ended up caring for Ryan and Brittany even though they were fictional characters. Again, I liked visiting this town and the two main families and getting to know them more. I also liked the supernatural parts of the story as well. The only thing I would have liked a little bit more was more of Amber and Peter's story. I see that she has the third book out and I do want to read that one as well. I received this book from the author for my honest opinion.

It was great to read a sequel to "Crossing Values". I could feel the warmth and love in the whole book. You might want to grab some kleenex just in case. I am looking forward to more of Carrie Daws Books. I feel she has God looking over her shoulder nodding His head in approval. Good Job Carrie.
B MaceAlexandria, MNAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5RunningJanuary 31, 2013B MaceAlexandria, MNAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5There are many ways to run away from what is happening around you. Some of us physically leave, others leave emotionally and mentally. This story shows how listening to that inner voice, can bring you back home. Ryan has been running for many years, he just didn't know it. Learning to trust God and those around him, led him back into lives that he had all but removed himself from. It also allowed him to learn to love a whole new group of people. A lesson for all of us.
Its About Time MamawCleveland, TexasAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Crossing RyanJanuary 5, 2013Its About Time MamawCleveland, TexasAge: 55-65Gender: femaleWhen Ryan received an invitation to his sister Amber's wedding he did not know what to expect. He had not seen her since she ran away when she was in her teens. He had also been avoiding his parents and would have some explaining to do about missing so many of the holidays with them. Being an EMS and also attending school was the excuse he gave them over the years. In his own way he too has been running away from his family?
When he arrives in Crossing, Oregon his whole family is together and seem to be functioning like a normal happy family and that is not what he expected. He assumed the big change was in thanks to Amber's future in-laws.
He is introduced to Amber's future in-laws and their extended family which included Allie the grooms sister. After one look at Allie he knew his life was fixing to be turned in a totally different direction than he had planned. He even started hearing a voices which was either God or an Angel by the name of Matthew. They seemed to be guiding him on a new path.
Where was all of this leading him? It seemed to be a little clinic in Crossing and the beautiful nurse named Allie. It was slowly becoming clear to him where God wanted him live, work and start a family. But what does Allie want?
This book was as heart wrenching and inspiring as book one. With the visitations of the Angels overseeing the family I would get goosebumps. In both books at first I struggled with their rules on courting but I totally agreed on the rules of purity and how the two are connected. It would be wonderful if more parents would adopt this for their children.
I am ready to read book three.
I received a free book from Ambassador-Emerald International for review. I was in no way compensated for this review. It is my own opinion.
LauraAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Ryan learns to embrace God's plan and trust HimAugust 17, 2012LauraAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5From beginning to end, this story reveals God's call to put our lives in His hands and to trust in the One who made us! We get the opportunity to meet some characters we'll not soon forget! The author makes them come alive in a way that you feel you actually know them. We get to laugh, cry, and face real life tragedies with them. One could easily replace him/herself in any of the situations where tragedy strikes, leaving us confused. And yet, we aren't left to wonder if God's plan is better here. This is a book that truly compels us to fulfill the purposes God has called us to. Some very ‘special' characters make appearances throughout the story as well and force us to see that God never leaves us without help and encouragement. Even though Ryan doesn't understand any of it to begin with, he learns to stop running from his fears. The transformation in his life is nothing short of inspirational. I finished this book with a desire to grow in my faith and ability to trust. How many fictions can do that? Incredible story! ...and I want to eat at Faye's house!!

Tell us a little about yourself. Over the years, God rewrote my dreams to include being a stay-at-home mom and a writer. I started by writing weekly devotions online before a mentor at the Christian Writers Guild encouraged me to try fiction. After almost ten years in the military, my husband medically retired and we now live in Virginia with our three children. Besides writing fiction novels, I stay busy homeschooling all three and volunteering with Military Ministry, a division of Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ).
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? More than anything, I want readers to walk away from my stories with great hope. Today doesn't always look good; circumstances can feel overwhelming. But a mighty God waits for each of us to look to Him for love and support. He is in control and loves us more than we can fathom.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? The character Ryan is special to me because he represents so many people to me. They either believe or God or perhaps even attend church regularly, but when it gets down to it, they really hold God at arm's length, only letting Him get so close. My heart longs to reach out to each of these people and encourage them to take a chance! God has much more for them--for all of us--than we've dared to dream about.
