When grocery store manager Reese Mantle's eight-year-old daughter Kylee receives a vision from God, he is not sure what to expect. When she begins to prophesy and becomes one of the fastest middle-distance runners in the world, he finds himself entangled in the middle of a battle between good and evil.
As Reese learns to accept his daughter's gift, he is confronted with a new revelation. A clandestine organization (Nero's Guard) that has survived nearly 2000 years and is dedicated to the destruction of Christianity, is determined to use Kylee to retrieve an ancient artifact that threatens to expose their group and their leadership.
Enter FBI Agent Kalik Taurus, a man determined to bring Nero's Guard crashing down. And the saga takes a roller coaster ride from the plains of the Midwest, to the City of Angels, and concludes with a clash on the streets of New York City between the oldest warriors in the universe.

Warning - when you start this book you aren't going to put it down until you finish it! It grabs you in the first few pages and doesn't let go until the end. It is suspenseful and manages to impart a little wisdom to the reader along the way. This is a great read.

"The Running Girl" is a must read. I could not put it down. It was hard to believe that this was the author's first book. I look forward to his next publication.

I loved this novel. It's first-person telling fits the story perfectly. I can't believe this is Mr. Blankenship's first novel! There's a new kid on the block, Frank, Alton, Bill, Tim, Jerry, and Randy...Watch out! I enjoyed the story beginning to end. My only complaint is that the book is too short, and this left me wanting more work from this new author.

Tell us a little about yourself. I currently live in Lowell, Indiana. I am the

What was your motivation behind this project? In today's world there is an obvious attempt to
stifle the Christian faith. "The Running Girl"
is a fictional account of one possible source of
this reality we see in today's headlines. Nero's
Guard doesn't really exist, but at the end of
this novel the reader may wonder if an
organization just like it does.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope it will bring the reader closer to Christ
while at the same time expose the constant attack
by Satan and his henchmen.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? C.S. Lewis, Frank Peretti, and Randy Alcorn have
had a major influence on my writing. Their
ability to write about the behind-the-scenes
struggle between good and evil have inspired me
to read and write as much as I can about such
things.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: My hobbies are reading, writing, running, soccer,
karate, kickboxing, and weightlifting. It is my
goal to make writing my full-time job.
