I would consider this to be too mature for kids. The subtlety of the topic is difficult to follow. Some of the scenes and antics are cute and liven up the movie. Would need to watch this a few more times in order to adequately share with a young audience.
My children (5 to 15) all enjoyed and watched over and over. The younger ones are often playing the characters in Ravenshead now and talking about the truth in the movie. Great for a children's ministry followed by short devotional.
Had to use closed caption (subtitles-read the whole movie). The music--which is beautiful by the way--over powered the words and also (eventhought the kids did great) it can be hard to understand the children if you are not used to listening to kids talk. Beautiful scenery and great music. I thought it was cute. I wish at the end they would have "explained" the allagory that they were trying to achieve. Also a few bloopers or some of the things that happened while they were filming. I know they had to have some fun --filming with that age group..
