A special treat served on one of Mrs. Rosey Poseys China plates helps Natalie learn what it means to be set apart for Gods special purposes. Back by popular demand with new illustrations and in the I Can Read format, this much-loved classic story helps Level 2 readers understand how sometimes being told no is really Gods way of setting them aside for his very best intentions.

Over the past ten years Robin has been invited to speak at events around the US and Canada as well as in South America, Africa, Europe and Australia. Robin and her husband have two grown children and have been married for 35 years. They live in Hawaii where she continues to write and speak.
Christina Schofield thought it would be fun to earn a living at what used to land her in detention - doodling. Christina has been illustrating for Christian publishing companies the past ten years and loves working from home while watching Clifford with her little girl.
Grandma L5 Stars Out Of 5Great gift for granddaughtersAugust 27, 2014Grandma LQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5We have 6 granddaughters, ages 2-8. This summer, as each came for their weeklong vacation to Grandma and Grandpa's, we read Mrs. Rosey Posey and the Fine China Plate to them. Then we gave them their own copy of the book and a special "fine china plate" of their own. [We bought 6 Corelle lunch plates, each in a different, pretty and special pattern - one for each granddaughter. They each use their special plate every day, and we didn't want anyone's to break, so we didn't buy real china.] The important message that each one of us is special to God and set apart for Him is in an easy-to-read format. We pray that our granddaughters will always remember this message when they use their fine china plates each day.
Ruth MlyniecWest Kingston, RIAge: 55-65Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5I miss the old version my daughter enjoyedOctober 4, 2013Ruth MlyniecWest Kingston, RIAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 2Many years ago I came across Mrs. Rosey and the Chocolate Cherry Treat. An excellent book to share with my young daughter about how to keep your heart and life for Jesus, being a child of the King. I loved the illustrations, the parable within the story and the recipe for chocolate cherry treats! This new version is still good and gets the point across - written for the kids to read themselves - but I was disappointed with the new illustrations and the editing. I miss the parable of the plates being used for the king. I glad that I saved my copy for my granddaughters. Our church is using this book now for a mother-daughter tea party and I was thankful it was still available, even though changed. My original copy is being held together by a rubber band! So, the message is vital - share with your daughters and granddaughters how special they are and that being pure of heart and life is so important. *It also was nice that my daughter has the same name as the little girl in the story!
CindyAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5It's a "keeper"!August 15, 2011CindyAge: 35-44Gender: femaleI just borrowed this book from our public library and WOW! It's now high on my shopping list - I want this book on my daughter's book shelf. It's good that it's a beginning reader book - but it also sends out the message that we are set apart for God - that we are special because we are HIS and therefore we need to be careful about what we do and see.
Bobbie Mcnatt5 Stars Out Of 5May 14, 2010Bobbie McnattA wonderful little book for the 12 year old girls to read at their China Plate party. A very growing up book.
Jane Bridges5 Stars Out Of 5March 11, 2009Jane BridgesI cannot say enough about this book! It is easy reading with a great message on purity. I originally bought this book for my daughter about 15 years ago. I recently purchased it, along with the other Mrs. Rosey Posey books, for my granddaughter who isn't even born yet. That says alot about how special this book is.

Tell us a little about yourself. I love to doodle, eat chips and play with my four year old daughter.
What was your motivation behind this project? Drawing for children is a dream come true for me. I actually screamed a little when my agent called to tell me about the assignment. I thought these stories were fun and perfect.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? My little girl and I love reading stories together, and Miss Gunn has written such fun and spunky stories. I hope readers will get a smile or two.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? Just after taking on this project, my husband and I were in a motorcycle accident. I had just a concussion, but he broke his neck and was paralyzed from the chest down. It became so hard to do my best with so much drama! For me, this project has been about trusting God with what He has given me to do.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? I have a favorite teacher who inspired me. Also, love Maurice Sendak, David Shannon, Marla Frazee, Robin Preiss Glasser, and Hilary Knight.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: These books have a white and gray cat in them that looks just like my little girl's cat Lola!
