Rosetta Stone students progress independently at their own pace. Parents can choose whether to use a preloaded lesson plan or full-year curriculum track, create their own lessons, or use an alternate program to focus on specific skills such as listening & speaking or reading & writing. Students are tested periodically, automatically advancing as their scores improve through reviewing weaker areas. At the completion of a unit, students complete a "Milestone Activity" in which they must speak into the microphone and participate in a conversation. The built-in reporting tool gives parents the ability to view, print and export student results, including completed exercises, current lesson progress, scores, and time spent learning.
Rosetta Stone also includes an audio companion! Reinforce your language skills anywhere, anytime with five audio activities per level that correspond with the computer lessons and provide additional conversation practice. At home or on the go, you can redeem the time by improving your pronunciation, vocabulary, phrases, speaking & conversation skills. MP3 Files.
Rosetta Stone Spanish (Latin American) Levels 1, 2, & 3, Homeschool Edition, Version 3, provides a foundation of key vocabulary and language skills, including directions, greetings, introductions, adjectives, time, emotion, works, interests, household items, animals, possessive pronouns, measurements, basic grammar, and more.

S. Liz Hall1 Stars Out Of 5Removed all desire to learn Spanish from my kidsJune 24, 2014S. Liz HallQuality: 3Value: 3Meets Expectations: 1We bought this product because we had never heard any negative about the program, so we assumed that it had to be good. But, after 6 weeks of diligent work my 7 children loathed the program. My 12 year old specifically who was so excited to learn now doesn't even want to try anything else.
The negatives for me were that we could only install the program on 2 computers, we had to print out the workbook and answers ourselves(more $ after we spent so much on the program), and the lessons never told you for sure what word they were trying to teach you. The program shows you a picture and says what it is in Spanish and you repeat it. The problem is that the picture could be... child, kid, boy, son or even the shirt they were wearing. The program never tells you for sure. You have to figure it out. If you assume wrong, you just learn the word wrong until someone who really speaks spanish corrects you. So now after 18 weeks of giving it our best try....It is this not knowing for sure what it is that you are trying to learn that makes me give this program 1 star.
Renetta Crow4 Stars Out Of 5November 22, 2009Renetta CrowMy chidlren are loving the interaction with this computer program. My daughter was taking Spanish 1 in public school and kind of has a head start. She said that makes it easier. However; My son is doing well with it dispite his speech problem with the "r" sounds. It tends to reject some of his Spanish words. Not sure how to work around that, but over all I am pleased. It would be nicer to have a live person to talk to, but if you don't, this works well.
Mom-of-55 Stars Out Of 5September 2, 2009Mom-of-5This program is excellent. We use it for our homeschool curriculum and the kids, ages 6 to 12, race to get to the computer first. Even the 3 and 5 year old look over their shoulder and learn. !Me gusta mucho!
Pamela Johnson5 Stars Out Of 5July 4, 2009Pamela JohnsonVery good software. our kids are picking it up the words and getting theough the lessons without any real struggle. I would recommend the software for any homeschool family wanting a lanuage course as well as anyone looking to learn a new language.
Catherine Ruedisueli4 Stars Out Of 5July 1, 2009Catherine RuedisueliThis is a great product. My six kids 6-16 have no problem using it 20 minutes a day and usually do not complain. We have it registered on two computers (the limit) and 3 kids are logged in on one and 3 one the other. It is very important to do the workbook / writing part. I could not believe I spent $500 and had to PRINT OUT ALL my workbooks for 6 kids for 3 levels. I decided to print out one copy and have the kids just write all their answers in their own notebooks.
Q: Do the workbooks/tests/ quiz and solution manuals come with this set? I'm just wondering if the homeschool set 1-3 with the audio comes complete with the workbooks and solutions or do they have to be copied off the program? Thank you
This doesn't include a physical copy of the workbook/solutions. These have to be printed off the Supplemental Education Materials CD.
Q: Rosetta Stone How many children can log on as a user. I have six children.Thank you,Demetra
You can install this software on up to 2 computers with 5 students on each. You would not be able to utilize it with 6 children on a single computer.
