Rosetta Stone students progress independently at their own pace. Parents can choose whether to use a preloaded lesson plan or full-year curriculum track, create their own lessons, or use an alternate program to focus on specific skills such as listening & speaking or reading & writing. Students are tested periodically, automatically advancing as their scores improve through reviewing weaker areas. At the completion of a unit, students complete a "Milestone Activity" in which they must speak into the microphone and participate in a conversation. The built-in reporting tool gives parents the ability to view, print and export student results, including completed exercises, current lesson progress, scores, and time spent learning.
Rosetta Stone also includes an audio companion! Reinforce your language skills anywhere, anytime with five audio activities per level that correspond with the computer lessons and provide additional conversation practice. At home or on the go, you can redeem the time by improving your pronunciation, vocabulary, phrases, speaking & conversation skills. MP3 Files.
Rosetta Stone French Levels 1, 2, & 3, Homeschool Edition, Version 3, provides a foundation of key vocabulary and language skills, including directions, greetings, introductions, adjectives, time, emotion, works, interests, household items, animals, possessive pronouns, measurements, basic grammar, and more.

414lat5 Stars Out Of 5Easy for the whole familySeptember 21, 2012414latQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Our whole family loves being able to learn a language at our own pace yet still at the same time. Even though the Rosetta Website reccomends 13 as the youngest age my 9 year old has not had any problems with it.
David Maxwell5 Stars Out Of 5November 17, 2009David MaxwellRosetta Stone is phenomenal. There are other language products that purport to be as good for $20 or $30, but there is no comparison. They are not even remotely in the same league. Many language programs are really nothing more than smart word lists. If you work well with lists they might work for you. But R.S. very quickly gets you into the context of the language without English translation - true immersion. As I got into the second lesson of the first level I was introduced to some words which weren't immediately apparent, but as I kept going I figured out what going on with just pictures and the language (in this case French). I have always tried to shut out English as soon as possible and think in the foreign language, and this fits that model to a tee. All things considered the full three level program is less expensive than a typical 3 credit college course. Absolutely worth the investment.
Michelle Harding5 Stars Out Of 5September 2, 2009Michelle HardingAs a homeschooling mom, French was one of the subjects on my priority list, but I hadn't been able to make it a priority due to my own limited knowledge. With the Rosetta Stone French program, my kids are learning independantly of my own abilities (and I'm relearning!). I love that this is something I don't have to carve out specific teaching time on our schedule for and that they all go at their own pace. With the homeschool version, I have the ability to check not only how they've been doing, but also how long they spend at it! This particular set with 3 levels, when divided out over 4 kids is even very cost effective, compared to other French curriculum I've tried! I would definitely recommend this program to anyone interested in a simple way of getting French on the schedule!
Mary Ann Mckee5 Stars Out Of 5August 27, 2009Mary Ann MckeeWe love Rosetta Stone. Not only is my daughter learning it but I have set myself up & my son who is 10 too. It's VERY EASY to follow, understand & very repetitive so that you learn it. We bought the 3 levels as it seemed the best value over all.
