Tell us a little about yourself. I am the author of 37 books, most of them novels dealing with British Christian history. My husband and I have 4 adult children and our 11th grandchild is on the way. I'm also an avid gardener. My love of growing roses is reflected in this book.
What was your motivation behind this project? The idea of the Victorious Heart series was to write serious women's fiction in the guise of romance. My editor and I believe that often when one is dealing with a truly traumatic situation in their life they may not be able to cope with a heavy self-help book, but a novel which presents much-needed truths in story form can be a great help.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? Faith, hope and courage to try again when a marriage needs rebuilding.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? Background is always of great importance to me in my novels. I often feel the setting is a character in my stories, and I like to give my readers a "you are there" experience. In this case the beauty and charm of one of my favorite places Victoria, B.C. is part of the healing for Laura and Tom.
