Product Description

The St. Andrew's Expositional Commentary series by renowned preacher R.C. Sproul presents Sproul's outstanding expositional skills in commentary form. In this volume The Righteous Shall Live by Faith: Romans Sproul presents a thoroughly doctrinal commentary standing in the Reformed theological tradition, that is also eminently practical, and intellectually rewarding.

Written with the minister n mind this volume covers the most controversial passages in Romans with compositional clarity and theological astuteness for which Sproul is well known. This will make an excellent resource for ministers who desire to faithfully explain God's word in conjunction with the text. Oustanding.

Publisher's Description

Sproul's sermons at St. Andrew's Chapel are the foundation of these never-before-published expositions on Paul's epistle to the Romans.

Chrysostom had it read aloud to him once a week. Augustine, Luther, and Wesley all came to assured faith through its impact. The Reformers saw it as the God-given key to understanding the whole of Scripture.

Throughout church history the study of the book of Romans has been pivotal to understanding Christian life and doctrine. Convinced that "Paul's fullest, grandest, most comprehensive statement of the gospel" is just as vital today, R. C. Sproul delivered nearly sixty sermons on Romans from October 2005 to April 2007 at St. Andrew's Chapel, where he has pastored for more than a decade. These never-before-published, passage-by-passage expositions will enrich any study of this weighty epistle. Part of the St. Andrew's Expositional Commentaries series.

Dr. R.C. Sproul makes the difficult Romans theology come to life and how we can live by faith alone.

Also, he has such knowledge of the great theologians of the centuries and how they have preserved orthodox Christianity for us.

R.C.has helped me to appreciate Paul and his message.

The idea of R C Sproul writing commentaries is exiting. He has a long life of study and teaching to share in one of my favorite books of the bible. I can't wait for the forth commentary to come out.
