Publisher's Description

During this tumultuous time of history spanning from AD 30-1799, the Church explodes throughout the world, uncharted regions are explored, distant cultures are united, and religious wars burst into flame. Through it all, students will see God moving behind the scenes to accomplish His purposes, inviting kings and peasants alike into His kingdom.

Cathy Duffy Review

"Popular convention speaker and storyteller extraordinaire Diana Waring is the author of Answers Genesis's history program History Revealed...More than just a history curriculum, each course might well serve as a unit study with its coverage of history, geography, cultures, Bible, Bible history, and the fine arts coupled with plenty of work in language arts and even some science...Each course is presented in nine units with four weeklong lessons or "phases" per unit. Each of the four phases reflects one of four learning style preferences (based on Myers Briggs learning styles). ...On top of learning styles, the curriculum incorporates methods that teach to the three learning modalities: visual, auditory, and kinesthetic (movement or hands-on learning)...[This] isn't your typical program. It isn't about memorizing names, dates, and events. Rather, it's about seeing the hand of God through history, the shaping of cultures and people. The emphasis is on learning in ways that engage the student's interest so that they grasp the big picture and broad outlines of history."

I heard Diana speak at a homeschooling conference in my early homeschooling days and she sparked in me an unquenchable interest in history. Using her books and audios in our home has stirred that same curiosity and delight in my children. We all love history! And I blame Diana Waring. "Romans, Reformers, Revolutionaries" is a more than a textbook--it is a fascinating story of how life has unfolded over the last few centuries and the Sovereign Hand of God behind it all. In the midst of every darkness, God is moving, calling people to Himself, and raising up world changers!

My daughter loved the first set of this curriculum so she decided to stick with it another year and order this set. This set seems to be quit a bit harder for her and I have to help her more. The verbage seems to be overly done at times. It doesn't seem as simple as it should be. The way she explains things, sometimes seems more complicated then it needs to be. Overall, my daughter still likes it, just not as excited about it. The curriculum is still filled with so many incredible options, it is still worth doing.

This is a very interesting book about Medieval times. Would recommend getting the audio as well. We didn't and feel, now, like we would have benefitted from it!

Great student text! Love that the maps and time lines are in the text. No separate workbooks needed.
