Publisher's Description

A fun and fascinating way to learn about the book of Revelation.

The Bible’s final book, Revelation, can seem intimidating or downright impossible to comprehend, even for serious students of the Scriptures.

Filled with complex imagery, vivid depictions of violence, and challenging spiritual references, Revelation is often set aside by readers in favor of more straightforward, easier-to-digest biblical material. Yet the capstone of the canon need not remain a mystery.

In this refreshingly accessible book, Bible scholar and best-selling author Tim LaHaye (originator of the Left Behind series) and renowned puzzle master Timothy E. Parker (editor of the USA Today Crossword, and founder of The Universal Crossword, King James Games, and Master Puzzles) demystify Revelation for your benefit.

Absorb this book and discover afresh—or for the first time—the richness of Revelation and its God-breathed, life-changing power to deepen your walk of faith.

Author Bio

Tim LaHaye is a New York Times bestselling author of more than 70 nonfiction books, many on biblical prophecy and end-times. He is the coauthor of the record-shattering Left Behind series and is considered one of America's foremost authorities on biblical end-times prophecy.

I have tried so many times to understand Revelations, but never could, until I ordered this book. This book has helped me and explained each verse where it all makes sense. This is actually the second time I have ordered this. I got one for a friend and she loves it also. Anyone interested in studying the book of Revelation, I would recommend this book.

The book of Revelation has always been one of the most interesting books of the Bible to me, ever since I was a child. The imagery is just so colorful, and I love the end when Christ conquers and creates a new Heaven and earth! It never fails to make my heart jump, and reading through Revelations always puts the day to day struggles into perspective - it reminds me that we are all part of a bigger story, and it makes me want to live more for Jesus, because someday He is coming back!

The Book Of Revelation Made Clear by Tim Lahaye and Timothy E. Parker is a great guide to Revelation. When I first picked up this book I thought it was a regular chapter book, but I would call it more of a Bible study guide. Each section opens with a short quiz about the Scripture text. Then it gives you the actual Scripture, along with a short commentary about the verses, and the section finishes off with the answers to the quiz questions. Every verse in the book of Revelation is covered in this manner.

If you have ever wanted to do a personal Bible study on the book of Revelation, this book is a great place to start. I also think it is ideal for those who have never read Revelation before - it makes each verse easier to understand. For those, like myself, who have studied Revelation before, I'd say this book still left me with a fresh perspective and brought attention to some things that I had never thought about. The quizzes were also fun for me to test my memory of the specifics of each verse!

I also have to say, one of my favorite parts of the book was the appendices - Apendix A covers everything Christ says about Himself in the first three chapters of Revelation, and I liked reading through it and seeing that focused picture of Jesus that is presented in Revelation.

Apendix B is a list of all of the Lord's names throughout Scripture - I have been wanting to find a complete list like this, so I loved that a list of His names was included.

I'd definitely recommend this book for anyone who is interested at taking a deeper look at this interesting and mysterious book of the Bible.

Note: I received this book for free from BookLook in exchange for this review. This is my honest opinion.

Tim LaHaye & Timothy E. Parker in their new book, The Book of Revelation Made Clear published by Thomas Nelson Publishers brings us A Down-to-Earth Guide to Understanding the Most Mysterious Book of the Bible.

From the back cover: A fun and fascinating way to learn about the book of Revelation.

Revelation is the only book of The Bible that tells us it comes with a blessing for reading it. Yet, most people shy away from reading it because the imagery that it contains seems to be very difficult to understand. Tim LaHaye & Timothy E. Parker give us an easy comprehensive study to teach us that Revelation was written to give us an understanding of what will happen in the future. believers who were facing persecution and hostility from the ruling culture. At the beginning of each chapter you will find a short pre- quiz dealing with the outlined Scripture, where you are given the opportunity to test of knowledge of the verses involved. The questions are followed by the scriptures that pertains to them and then a precise explanation of what that scripture means. Finally the same three questions are repeated but with the answers provided. Tim LaHaye & Timothy E. Parker have given us an easy way to read and understand the final book of The Bible. It also aids in getting us the blessing as it gives us the ability to sit down and read the book in its entirety. I recommend this book highly.

This is a book written as a study guide which dissects the sections of Revelation, helping the readers understand the symbols and points correctly.

The book is clearly well-researched and it is written by authors who have established their credibility to speak about the Bible. However, I think the entire book lacks depth because it doesn't consciously help a person make the right Christian decisions. After all, the Revelation is a very important book for Christians.

But it is a study guide meant to educate the reader. Through this, one will really understand the specific details. I think the authors must have chosen to focus on the scholarly aspect of teaching the Revelation randy than on the general divine message. If this was really the intention, I think they did a great job at making the Revelation easier to study!

Will I recommend it? I will recommend this book to Christian learners who have already read the Bible and have a firm foundation of faith. I imagine this will be great for independent or homebased study; in fact, the authors should make guides like this for every important book in the Bible.

However, I don't think this book works for readers who have none of the above and are seeking to know the relevance of the Revelation and what they should do if they want to follow Christ. This is a book that tackles the "what's" and not the deeper "why's." In this case, another book might do the trick!

DISCLAIMER: I received a few copy of the book from BookLookBloggers.com but the insights here are all my own.

The Book of Revelation Made Clear by Tim LaHaye and Timothy E. Parker is advertised as being a down-to-Earth guide to understanding the most mysterious book of the Bible. This book takes the reader beginning to end through the book of Revelations. It is written with each chapter in the book being a chapter in the book of Revelations. Each chapter is further broken down into a few verses of the chapter sometimes as few as 3 verses. The opening of each section of the chapter starts with 3 questions to help you both know what you know and also to direct your reading. This book directs the reader to whether or not the reading is symbolic or literal. This book has taken a book that many readers are afraid to study because of all the mystery surrounding it and makes it easier to understand. In addition the book includes the scripture (The New King James Version) within the reading so if the reader has no Bible or even just the particular version that is being discussed then the reader has access to the version. When you are done reading the scriptures and the book the reader will have a more clear understanding of the Love of God as written in the book of Revelations.

I liked this book and agree that it clarifies the book of Revelations. I had never been afraid to study the book before but certainly like the fact that it helped me to read and understand this difficult book on prophecy in the Bible. It held my attention through the book and is easy to understand. I would recommend reading this book to any age person who would like to understand the Book of Revelation more fully.

I received this book from Booklook for this review.
