It covers a lot of different scripture, not just in the Psalms. the only thing I sort of ignore is the first part - doing the "Arts" thing. I am not an "artsy person" and I don't care about that.

Tell us a little about yourself. Having an M.A. in English, I have taught middle school and high school students and current tutor in the homeschooling community. Playing the autoharp and singing songs with children in church has resulted in an ever-increasing love for music and songwriting.
What was your motivation behind this project? As much as I delight in creating praise to God, I believe that it is a privilege, where possible, to encourage the next generation to create praise through the various arts: songs, poetry, prose, drama, painting, drawing, instrumental music, photography, interpretative dance, sculpture, woodcarving, and pottery.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? Written for adults and teens, Responding to Psalms: Praising God Through the Arts can assist artists and non-artists in praising God. Study questions and suggestions encourage individual or small-group response and reflection.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? In addition to the God's Word, I enjoy the poetry, songs, paintings, drama, and other works of creative men and women throughout the ages. Amy Carmichael, Robert Frost, John Donne, and Gerard Manley Hopkins are a few of my favorite poets.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: Each chapter focuses on a topic arising in the Psalms, such as the heavens, light, water, mountains and hills, trees, birds, plants, and sheep. Concluding chapters focus on what Jesus accomplished on the cross.
